Costikyan’s full-time project managers and skilled technicians handle every phase of rug or carpet installations. From CAD-generated site measures to wall-to-wall installations, on-site fabrications, and on-site repairs, we are there for you every step of the way.
Costikyan can perform several fabrications and repairs in your home using binding and serging methods. Our team utilizes binding and serging to prevent a cut edge from unraveling (especially near doorways, hearths, outlets, and vents) or to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the carpet. The process can be done by machine or hand depending on the product.
Successful carpet installations begin with meticulous floor plans. Costikyan offers:
Carpet is installed over a pad and it is then held in place by a tack strip installed around the perimeter of the area is also being covered.
A floor adhesive is spread uniformly over the subfloor with a trowel, leaving ridges of sufficient height to achieve full and complete coverage.
We suggest this method when additional comfort and loft is desired. In this method, a separate cushion is adhered to the subfloor and the carpet is glued to the cushion.
Carpet is cut and shaped to fit the configuration of the room. It is then finished using being used for binding material and/or serging.
We tailor the cleaning, protection, and restoration for each textile.
We work quickly and discreetly in your home, limiting disruption.
